2. WHY SHOULD I INTRODUCE A CRAYON SO EARLY?
   A child can draw before they can write. Art is fundamental to human expression.
   Your toddler is naturally curious and this curiosity is the foundation to creativity. Creativity helps your child become a thoughtful, inquisitive, and a confident learner later on, when she starts school.
   Exploration of materials is the basis for creativity and when she grabs that chunky crayon and plays with colours, she makes her first mark on paper and viola….. It’s your baby’s first achievement. She experiences the power of cause-and-effect. This leap in thinking skills is helped along by her new ability to hold things in her hands and fingers.
   Colours are a language children can speak easily even when language is not fully developed, in fact the process of art exploration aids language development. Colour recognition can provide children with essential learning tools in life. For example, in mathematics, colour recognition is used to categorise, sort, compare and organise. Additionally, shapes and colours help the child make sense of the world around them e.g. it's a small yellow car and daddy drives a big red car. Also, by teaching your child about colour (including shades, tones and hues) a parent will be helping their little toddler to use colour as a means of creative expression.

   Size. The Chunkies as the name suggests are 3.5 times the size of the Dabble Playart crayons and are  made specially for little hands on the first birthday. They come in easy to grip 3 transport shapes which are fun and easy to use on paper. A toddler is ready to use crayons as soon as their pincer grip is developed and Dabble crayons help them to develop the tripod grip for pencil writing in school. Moreover, as the name suggests, the crayons are chunky and don’t break easily.  The Dabble Playart crayons box of 8 is meant for age 2.5+ when a child has developed the grip needed to hold and colour with.

Tell your baby… “ Crayons are for colouring” and demonstrate how they work. If your baby puts it in the mouth or colours elsewhere, reiterate gently “ Crayons are for colouring”. Also, create a fixed art space for your child to colour. Just like you have dining space for eating, colouring has a space too. It helps your little toddler to know where it can be done. You will be pleasantly surprised to know that your child will only express with colours in the space created for her.
    
8. WHAT IS THE WHITE FILM THAT WE SEE ON THE BEESWAX CRAYON? HOW DOES IT HAPPEN?
   Beeswax never goes bad, but over time it gets a powder called bloom on it. Bloom is a natural process of the oils rising to the surface. While bloom does not affect the way a beeswax crayon colours, it is easily removed by rubbing with a soft cloth.
