1. WHAT AGE CAN I START WITH THESE CRAYONS ?
   At 2.5 years. For younger kids we recommend the Dabble Chunkies.
    
2. WHAT IF MY CHILD PUTS THE CRAYON IN THE MOUTH?
   Dabble crayons are specially designed for early childhood. The unique formulation developed by scientists and food technologists contains natural waxes such as Organic Beeswax, Soya wax, coconut oil and FD & C approved colours and tested for Toxins by a NABL certified laboratory in India. 
   As founder moms, we understand the need for safe art products for children and that’s been our core guiding principle while developing our products. Moreover, the products have undergone an extensive research of over 2 years in consultation with educators and occupational/ art therapists to ensure the colours are developmentally appropriate.
    
3. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DABBLE PLAYART CRAYONS (BOX OF 8) AND DABBLE CHRISTMAS CRAYONS ( BOX OF 8)?
   Both,Dabble Playart crayons box of 8 is meant for age 2.5+ when a child has developed the grip needed to hold and colour with.
   The only difference is that the Christmas crayons are themed for Christmas gifting and make it fun for  your child to explore the story of Christmas.
    
4. WHY ARE THE CRAYONS IN SHAPES?
   It’s our vision to inspire imagination in children with the medium of colours. After extensive research  and feedback from Occupational therapists, educators and parents, the shapes have been developed to aid cognitive and motor development. Also, the colours come alive with shapes and inspire imagination and turn into storytelling tools in the hands of a child. It’s a multi sensory learning experience – Touch, Smell and Sight. The shapes also make it fun for a child to experience the various textures that form when used on paper.
    
5. DO THE FINGER PAINTS HAVE AN EXPIRY PERIOD?
   Yes, it's 1 year. Dabble is the first art company in India to list ingredients on the pack and to state an expiry date.
    
6.  ARE THE COLOURS WASHABLE?
   They easily wash off from the skin. They are also very easy to clean from smooth surfaces. Discolouration may happen on rough surfaces due to lime deposits.
   The finger paints wash off some fabrics if washed on the same day. In some fabrics where the stain is persistent, it might need a stain remover. The crayons and paints leave a light mark on the walls. 
   As expressive arts therapists and moms who believe in the power of expression using colours, we recommend every parent to create a  Dabble space at home, which is one fixed art space where you can put a large chart paper or a canvas for children to colour. Children in early childhood love to explore and need a boundary to be defined. Just like we eat at a dining table, children also need a space to colour.  They need to be told where they can colour, instead of being told not to do it anywhere.
    
7.  DO YOU USE PRESERVATIVES? 
   Yes and with approved quantities. And here’s why: water-based skin products without preservatives can get contaminated and breed harmful bacteria and microorganisms. We do not use harmful preservatives like parabens, phthalates & sulphates (SLS / SLeS Free), Paraffin, Mineral Oil, Diethanolamine (DEA), Petroleum, Formaldehyde, Propylene, Silicon, etc. but instead use safe preservatives usually used in food products
    
8. DO DABBLE PAINTS DRY UP OR HARDEN EASILY WHEN UNUSED?
   No, they don’t! Our paints are made of a special formulation containing water, coconut, and sweet orange oil. Hence unlike other paints, they don’t dry up easily!! Now you can enjoy using paints for a longer time!
    
9. WHAT IS THE WHITE FILM THAT WE SEE ON THE BEESWAX CRAYON? HOW DOES IT HAPPEN?
   Beeswax never goes bad, but over time it gets a powder called bloom on it. Bloom is a natural process of the oils rising to the surface. While bloom does not affect the way a beeswax crayon colours, it is easily removed by rubbing with a soft cloth.
